This is yet another new (28 Dec 03) page to cover additional information and photographs of this interesting old highway; see also my Automotive, Chrysler, Dudgeon (really!), Mercedes, and SS and JAGUAR car pages and other related pages.

A Motor Parkway Panel has been convened to keep the LIMP alive in situ, in minds, and in museums.

There is also a lot of automotive material on my ORDNANCE and HISTORY pages.

Also, if you like automotive history, see the links on the Automotive page.

LONG ISLAND MOTOR PARKWAY - continued

Additional NEW HYDE PARK Documentation,   new.gif (28 Dec 03)
continuing coverage of the peregrinations of the Long Island Motor Parkway across the Long Island landscape, returning to the New Hyde Park area of western Nassau County.

On 28 Dec 03, Scott Trepeta, who lives in New Hyde Park not far from Shelter Rock Road, and whose back yard borders on the LIPA power lines which were placed on the old LIMP RoW (bordering the southern part of the Links) sent these photos of the triangular boundary posts.  They can only be seen in the Fall when all the brush has died:   new.gif (28 Dec 03)
